Does anyone know anything about these bikes? A local dealer has had an 06 in his inventory for a while now. And I keep thinking it would make an interesting ride. Kinda Tigerish.

Same thoughts here. Tigerish, would make a good second bike, I like the Buell marque (has kind of a counter-culturish, "go your own way" feel to it, just like Triumph...even if it is owned by Harley.) Let us know how you make out.

One of the guys in my Baltimore group has one and loves it. They have sort of a cult-like following. I've never had a ride on one, but it looks cool. I don't think they sell too well, shouldn't be hard to find a good deal on one.

Every Buell since they gave up on the tube-framed models
has fallen out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the
way down.

I have an 07. Really fun bike.

Pros
Fantastic in the corners.
Great low end grunt.
Simple & cheap to maintain.
Great 2 up riding & accommodations.
Good long hauler.
Nice suspension.
Can handle gravel roads.
Sounds good.

Cons
Runs out of steam on the straightaways.
Good Buell dealers seem to be scarce.
Always have to order parts & accessories.
Can get hot on the right leg in stop and go situations.
Flimsy latches on hard bags.
Crummy lighting.

06 was the first year for the Ulysses. Every year has had improvements.

OK, I'll ask... what did it take to get the Buell right side up?

Two fat-tire bicyclist came by after about 45 minutes. Took five seconds to get it on its wheels. I thought it was going to be a long walk as I was 20 miles from anywhere and no cell service.

Work out, the gym? Heck, that just takes time away from riding!

Now you tell me!

What's even worse is that I had plenty of room to go around, but noooo, I had to be a big bad dirt rider.

"Crummy lighting"?

Adding some big PIAAs up high on the forks would solve the lighting problem and look cool, and some more aggressive tires might solve the mudpuddle traction problem .

Finding aggressive tire that fit those rims is tough. Same problem with Le Tigre.

Hey, that hole didn't look that bad. I'd of had to try it to.....Probably with the same results.
