I did some searching on converting Lbs to $ and Liters to gallons and that comes out to about $6.56 per gallon. Dang. It is about $2.35 in Tulsa.

89 Octane is about $2.65 in Baltimore and lower in Oklahoma...prices evidently improve the further west you go. Eventually, going west will take you to places east of you (Germany, Holland, Belgium) where the prices appear to be higher--wonder where the Sweet Spot is? Siberia?

Think you'll find it more like $6.69/us gallon, or £4.01/ us gallon. $7.77/imp gallon, £4.83/imp gallon.

95 octane been £1.06 down here for two months since the holiday season started, so no dought it'll be £1.07/£1.08.

98 octane £1.12 that i put in the car.

And they have the cheek to try to pass it off as an environmental issue - if it costs more, we will drive less therefore less carbon monoxide!!

The numpties still haven't figured out that we have to get to work, etc!!

Still, when you have an official car or can claim it back on expenses, it doesn't matter how much it costs does it???

Less cars on the road - I suppose that could be a bit of a bonus.

Hopefully less people driving kids to school, big 4x4's, boy racers in corsa's, less artics blocking up the traffic which makes for a more enjoyable ride into work.

Sorry, but you have to at least try and find some positives from this.

Last year, I was filling my car tank for ~US$5.00 in Bahrain.

That brought back memories of my distant youth.

Oddly enough, the last bout of price increases have no apparent reason other than greed. I guess the oil co's no longer feel they need to hide behind some excuse to gouge the people.
