I would like to trim up my fenders and replace the light show that is the brakelight and turn signals on the rear fender of the TBA. How hard is it to reim the plastic, fiberglass, playdo or whatever the material is that makes up the fenders. Does anyone offer an alternative to the real light?

Man, reading the title I thought those tiger tank stripes really suck, about the only thing bad about the bike. But then after reading the post, maybe I should be thinking about the 6 inches of steel on the front of a tiger tank? Or... Not?

Geez Tom! Tiger Tank?!! Now you've done it! I expect Greybeard will be giving us all a full page recitation about a certain WWII German military vehicle, any time now! Okay....sorry! Now, there have been a number of guys here who have bobbed their rear fenders which, as Friar John said, IS steel. Check out the "Custom Bikes" section on this site for details. Cheers, Dwight

I think he's only talking rear lights - not bobbing ...

I put a side mount tail light and a set of Arlen ness bullets on the bolt hole closest to the seat.
The thanks boogieman thread has some pictures of them. They also have a smaller version of the bullet lights. I orginally had these on, but when I dropped the bike and needed to replace them, I went with the dual filement.

I was just thinking for an 800cc bike it sure looks..........tutonic (sp) I think the tiger was adolph's last battle tank, huge one each nazi in color. I was thinking of trimming the bike. Does anyone else think the rear light and turn signals are industrial size? Not to mention the pipes look like ther are coal fired.

Tom,
Re: the turn signals. Yep! I do think they're a might big and awfully orange(or as some of the guys have refered to them in the past here..."pumpkins").
So I first cut down the stalks a might(approx 2in, I think it was) and bought 2 pairs of Lockhart smaller clear lense numbers. I think they look a hell of a lot better and much more....um...demure, let's say.
For the pair on the front I removed the stock "pumpkins" and because I had already bolted the chrome Triumph lower triple-clamp cover, I drilled a hole in each outside edge of them and then bolted the Lockharts into those holes. I think it cleans up the look of the front end rather nicely.
Regarding the taillight...well...I actually have kind of always liked the thing, as it always seemed to me to be in a T-shape...standing for my favorite brand of motor-sickle.
Cheers, Dwight (Re: The Teutonic vunder-tanken.....When G.M.(of course AT THE TIME...excuse me, but I'm just a little P.O.ed about this latest disaster to befall that once great American corporation that is making all the news today) could produce 10 Sherman Tanks to every one of those that Adolph's boys could pump out, those admittedly superior battle-wagons didn't stand a chance due to sheer numbers of attrition)

I don't put tigers in my tank. Exxon pulled some really nasty stuff on me some years back and I'll walk 10 miles to the next fuel stop rather than give them any business.
As for that other tiger, it was heavily armoured and heavily armed. The key word is heavy. With pretty much the same engine as the panzer, it couldn't keep up with its own smoke. The tank that Chrysler built with a 30 cylinder flathead based on the Windsor 6 could easily outrun one.
