I get a weekly email from Cruiser Customizing and this week they have the Large size, Saddlmen slant saddlebags on sale for $59. That's half price, I paid $115 four years ago. Even at $120, I think these are great bags for the money. http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail...p;mc=ESS-CC-078Their picture:

I agree. Looks like he mounted them crooked too.
These aren't Saddlemen bags. There is no Saddlemen logo on the bag and they look different. The part number is EZ SLANT LG. If you read the review it says "VERY comparable to the TC-5392", which is a Saddlemen. Having said that however, these still seem to be a great value. Size is more like the Saddlemen Jumbo. How can you go wrong for 60 bucks? I am in the market for a set of bags and I am seriously considerng these. Anyone have any experience with this bag?

I have had mine about a year and a half. For the money there .......well not bad, BUT they're just good enough. They get wet inside if you get cought in the rain. And the left side bag is starting to droop from the weight of the tools I carrie in it, about three lbs. they stay on the bike about 99.9% of the time and I couldn't live without them, but I'm going to replace them as soon as I am finish getting everything else I'm going to get for the bike.

Chrome brackets for a Honda Magna 750 will fit, also available for about $75 or so from CruiserCustomizing. You might be able to find a cheaper set on Ebay. Occasionally they pop up here, but I'm not aware of set currently for sale.

I was about to get a set of Saddlemen slants from Phat Performance 'til I read a review on the item page . The purchaser said they were very crappy bags , just a grade above cardboard . May have been just that model , but reviews are great . Saved me some grief .

I had those exact bags on my America with EZ's. Good enough but the next bike had better gags. They are fine for the price though. I did not leave them on all the time-just for "outings". They do need to have the contents in a waterproof bag but in light rain they were OK. Non quick release was a pain, though.
