Hi all. New to this forum and new to Triumph. Just bought a 2005 Speedmaster and was wondering if there are any after-market modification products for relocating the footpegs. I have read in a few reviews such as Motorcycle Cruiser magazine and among a few riders that this seems to be a minor complaint. I am 5'8" so that may be the reason, taking into consideration that the Triumph engineers factored 6' tall and above for their design. I dont believe it to be the case however.
I am in southern California and I, along with the "short people" community would appreciate any feedback. Thank you all. Great forum!!

Heya... that's probably the most common complaint amongst us more "vertically challenged" trumpy owners. I have seen a footpeg reloaction kit, but it was over a year back and I didn't take note of the manufacturer - perhaps someone else here remembers it, as it's not showing up on the old forums or google either.
The easy answer is footboards - I had the dealer put them on my bike pre-delivery and at 5'8 I can comfortably ride it all day long.

Only problem with that peg relocation kit, there's only one raask website-listed US distributor for that kit, Omar's Cafe racers, or something like that, and the price that Omar's quoted me for that kit jumped up dramatically from the $200 that raask lists on their site (once you convert to USD) It's like $370 now if I remember right, a little too much for something like that if you ask me.

Try ordering directly from Sivert Raask. Shoot him an e-mail and ask.

Thanks to all that replied. Wow!! I must be in the right forum. I'm sending Raask an email today. Again, thank you very much.

There is another way. I have a corbin seat "pushed forward" an inch and Kuryakyn stirrups and flat pegs. I'm 5'6" and this set-up is perfect for me. You will have to mess with the stirrups to keep them from spinning. A few ways to do this are on the site. In the end this may not be less dough but you'll also have a much more comfortable seat that keeps you from sliding back when shifting, braking or cornering. Scott

I must be the odd one out. I'm 5'9" with a 31" inseam and I had to buy the Kuryaken extensions to get two (2) more inches of leg room.

I'm only About 5'9" and i surely don't need them back any. I guess it's not so much *need* for some people but simply thier preference. but i sure can't see how it could be a problem for anyone our size. i mean, i can see wanting mid pegs instead of forward, but thats just preference. i could actually ride fine if they were even further forward. might even be nice ! The only thing i don't like is that with the forward pegs your leg muscles are always slightly working to keep your feet balanced. So i ordered those Kuryaken switchblades with the heel spurs for a resting point at 2 positions of the foot to simulate a floorboard and relax the leg muscles. That may just help him feel comfortable in the stock position too.

Dude, I'm 5'8" also, and have a few long rides (800 miles or so each way) on my 03 BAM. I guess I differ from everyone else, but I actually LIKE the peg position, and the seat as well. I get off it feeling as good as when I got on, and I'm 47. Are you sure you want to move them? Just curious...
Man, if I knew anything, I'd be rich and famous...

Try Kuryakyn pegs and offset mounts, you can position the pegs up, down, forward or back.
