very briefly i was talking to bro in law and he mentioned to his triumph mechanic that i had disconnected the TPS to which he replied it would make no difference but it has but he did say if i really want to make a difference i should get a mod kit for the secondry air injection pipes ( the pipes that come down by sparks with rubber pipes on top) apparently it should make a big difference as it apparently is just to add air into exhaust to weaken emissions.
now if this is right why would i need to buy a special kit to cap off pipes i could use marble in hose job that would do same
could anyone throw any light on this for me ?

Another benefit to getting rid of those tubes is spark plug accessiblity (?spelling?)...its easier with them out of the way.

Make a big difference? Shouldn't make any difference at all unless there's something wrong with the system. All it does is inject air into the exhaust. People remove the system to prevent bluing their pipes. When I bought my bike there was someone in for service with an AI system failure of some sort, so I took mine off. One less thing.
