I've been fortunate to get a fair amount of riding in - even in the summer which isn't summer that we've been suffering in upstate NY. After 2-3 hours in the saddle my posterior craves a more comfortable relationship w/ the seat. It's not the firmness of the foam or shape of the saddle --- more like it's too hot on the leather. All right, I'll say it --- I'm sweating & it's ****** uncomfortable. Any suggestions as to what's the best cover w/out breaking the bank from any seat comfort gurus out there?

The other fella's like to make fun of me, but the simplist thing works for me. Cut the legs off a pair of sweat pants, shorts in other words, and wear them over your underwear and under your pants. They provide just a little padding, and wick up the moisture from your posterier. Try it just once, and you'll see.

That's a clever idea. I've been using one of those Alaska Sheepskin butt pads which does have a great anti-heat effect but it also has the unfortunate side effect of gluing my butt into one position. Who'd-a-thunk you can't slide around on one of those?

On long rides, the wife and I wear Under Armour which can be bought at most sporting stores. They work very well.

I don't have the stuck butt problem like Ed does, I think it works rather well

Thanks all - I'm going sheepskin - looks to be the next step. I'd rather put something on the bike and not on myself!

Got an Ikea store nearby? I bought a genuine sheepskin rug from Ikea for $20 and it covers both the rider and pillion seat. I also have the Alaskan Leather sheepskin but it cost me $50.

I don't doubt the comfort of the sheepskin but I can't bring myself to put a furry seat on my bike. Seems like the motorcycle equivalent of a shag carpet dashboard, if ya know what I mean...

Hmmm, I suppose it might be due to the Corbin saddle's more restrictive seat or even worse (dare I say) by a larger butt...

I have a friend who put sheep skin on his BMW. It just ain't right.Kinda looks odd. When it gets wet its a pain. I like the under armouridea. I heard biker pants (bicycle) worked.
2008 BA, Ageon Blue, roadster shield, light bar. tach, big bags, square engine guard, short sissy with rack. All Triumph parts. No mods.
