I'm planning a (nearly) cross-country ride, which will bring me through Texas. Mapping software sends me through Dallas on I-30, and I need a little help plotting the quickest route around the city. If all goes to plan, I should hit the Dallas area (from the east) in the mid-morning.

Thanks.

Since you'll end up on I-20 anyway, the easiest method of bypassing metromess traffic is dropping down to I-20 via I-635, then continuing westward.

I agree and welcome to the Lone Star state.
It's cooled off a lot recently. We're down around 98 lately.

Thanks gentlemen. The heat out there doesn't bother me a bit. I'll take it over the humidity here any day.
