I read a few years ago that there are more folks around the world with Scottish surnames than there are folks in Scotland with Scottish surnames.
Welcome aboard cousin! (John MacLeod Alexander)

Thanks for the welcome!
As i say looking to get speedmaster next year. wanting to get a bike that i will keep long term with an eye to working on myself to improve performance and customise a bit.
Only slight worry i have is how they do when riding with a pillion. Wife has own bike but still need to be able to go two up for occasional rally that is further away, also bit of two up touring.
Jaffa cakes! doesnt everyone love them?

No problem two up Jim. Loads of stuff, racks, saddlebags even trailers available. Not high speed tourers with two up but then dont have to be be mental speed to be cool. There isn't that much off the shelf custom stuff available unlike Harleys and most Jap customs but that sort of makes it more interesting as you either buy off very small dealers or make it yourself. With your skills you will know that that is so much more rewarding.. Get one, enjoy and join a great bunch of like minded folk. Cheers Chris

Hello Jim from the heart of Texas. I visited your corner of the world in the early '70s while in the Navy (US). Visited a little place called Loch Ewe. Can't even remember what side of the isle it was on. A fueling port , but we had a ripping good time. Anyway, welcome aboard mate.

Sounds like you was 'subsurface' if you visited Loch Ewe on the west of Scotland. Did you drink in the Pub, in the village of Altbea?? I had some serious sessions in that pub during the late eighties
Think what you say .....before you say what you think!!! If in doubt...say nowt!!
