Let's have a show of hands, how many blown igntiors do we have out there?
I think Dill went through three or four. I've lost one (so far). Who's next?

Righto, I started that to try to accomplish the same thing but it went astray.

Let's not let this one do that, and only post if you're checking in as a having had igniter failure(s).

Yes, it would be beneficial to just get a hard count and omit everything else. An established hard count would go a long way to seeking a remedy. So far the count is 6 (including those from here: http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/forums/...c9f8#Post410536 ).

I think this is interesting, but what could the possibile solution be? Coils are like light bulbs sometimes you just get a bad one.

That said, I've never had any electrical problem wuth my 03 Bonnie America, but am presently trouble shooting my 04 Thruxton. I am hoping it's a coil and not the CDI.

05 Speedmaster, igniter failure began 9/08 at around 28K

Part paid for by Triumph as a "goodwill claim"

Count me in. 3 coils, 2 CDIs lost count of fuses. Stripped wiring harness out and redid it, what came fron the factory looked like it was done by an 8 year old. Around 10,000 on my 04, not sure third speedo cable is broke now.I discovered you get better service at a Nevada Brothel than at a Triumph dealer, they can't fix the bike either. But it cost less, and you can get a kiss.

Even though the bike is out of warranty Triumph covered all the parts (except the battery). I paid for all the labor to install.
