I have a 40 cal CZ 75b, but my 357 Smith in a 4" full lug barrel is such an accurate and dependable weapon I depend on it. I did run into zombies in Elmore County Alabama, We called the Elmorons. They ate porkrinds and RC Colas.

I don't know if I would go in for this one...
Knowing Harley's penchant for the latest in engineering, they may be giving away CSA surplus cap and ball revolvers.

That would be really cool, I would love another authentic CSA fire arm.

There was a quiz on Facebook, "How long would you last if zombies attacked." I think I got 30 seconds.

Considering the amount of casualties that the cap and ball revolvers did to a invading enemy. And the fact that the south had the LeMat, that was years ahead of its time. I would take one also. But still prefer to pack my 1911 Colt .45

Oh , I forgot - why are we so afraid of Zombies ? Really , they "chase" after us at a painfully slow stagger , arms outstretched , stiff legged , rotten clothes and all . You can CRAWL away from them and gain a lead , laughing at those creaking dead folks . It's a hoot .

Actually some of them are very fast. Some zombies leap onto you and tear you to shreds, others grab you with their extra long tongue from a distance and strangle you. Still others, while somewhat fragile, swarm over you and overwhelm you with their large numbers.

Wade, the Model 19 was one of my all time favorite guns ever. Nickle plated and a triger that was sooo smooth, ya couldn't tell when it was going to let off. I wouldn't recomended it for a steady diet of hot 357's. I popped the plating off the cylinder, shooting hot loads. When I sent it back to Smith & Wesson, they replated it for free, but I only shot 38's and factory 357's in it after that. You've got a very nice, well ballanced piece there, and if she's wearing blue you'll probably never have a problem.

The old cap and ball pistols like the Colt Navy and the like actually inflicted very bad wounds because they fired dead soft lead. No tin in it like modern lead ammo. It flattened out and fragmented and the low velocity all just made for a very ugly wound. All that also caused the bullet to carry all kinds of contaminants into the wound with it. That making it ripe for later infection causing death later.

Some U.S. Civil War stats (courtesy http://www.civil-war.net) -- Killed and Mortally Wounded: 110,070 (31%) Died of Disease: 199,720 (56%) Died as Prisoner: 24,866 (7%) Died from Accidents: 9,058 (3%) Died from all Causes except Battle: 15,814 (4%) Total Deaths: 359,528 [percentages are rounded] Looks like if your number was going to come up in this conflict, you had a 56% chance of dying by disease. Your odds of dying by battlefield wound weren't much better...

I think I'd go with the M1911-A1. Those were designed to knock large chunks off of attacking Morros, who could only be stopped by enough stopping power to knock them down.

My almost last touch with guns was in the army and with the assault rifle RK-62 the better version of the famous AK-47, not copied, just maded better by us Finns.
You people like guns and people dies.
Here we only buy guns after getting a permit for hunting, target practising etc.
We are doing great since one does´nt have to be afraid of getting shot, even at night time..., shoud we have it your way??

I hear that we are losing more Marines in sportbike accidents than in combat. I don't know if it's true but it's certainly plausible.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
