Does anyone know an accurate method for squaring up the back wheel? Thanx

I use an inside caliper (dial) to measure the slot inside the chain adjuster bracket. The end of the bracket vs the end of the swingarm. I can take my hands off the bars and I get no wiggle at all. I can take a picture sometime this weekend (of the caliper and method, not riding without hands) if you want.

That sounds simple enough dont bother with the pic. Any progress with your electric issue?

Haven't had time to look at it. Maybe this weekend but I'm helping a family member move.

No, do bother. I'd like to see that! Can you squeeze it in between moves for your family member? If not... nbd.

I use one of these. It clamps on the rear sprocket and the little rod extends along the chain a few inches. For what it is it is over priced, but seems to work OK. Using that, my little notches are off more than a whole notch.

I would not have thought that would be off a whole notch!

Don't use the notches on your adjusters for lining up your rear wheel. There is a design issue with the right side notch. The bracket always bends because the axle the notch bracket contacts has a different diameter between the axle shaft and axle threads. Also, the holes in the bracket have different sizes. This causes the bracket to bend when you tighten the right hand side up. I have reversed the right hand adjustment bracket so that the notches are on the inside of the swing arm instead of outside over 2 years ago. Still can't use the notches for adjusting but the bracket doesn't bend any more.

I use numbered drill bits as feeler gauges between the bracket and slot in the swing arm. I confirm by placing a straight 8 to 10 inch piece of piano wire against the sprocket to see how it sits on the chain links similar to the tool listed above. The notches are a nuisance.

I personally think there is an issue with the engine alignment as well. When I have the rear wheel right, the chain doesn't ride perfectly straight on the front sprocket. I can tell by the noise, and the wear pattern on the front sprocket. One of these days I'll spend some time on that.
