Long shot really.

does anyone have the wiring diagram for the Series 3 (the older style) Datatool/Triumph Alarm. I'm having problems.... and while the easy way wold be to rip it off, it's not that easy.

The short version as to why - when I had an alarm fitted, I asked for and paid for the Triumph one. I ended up with an Acumen one hard wired in... it caused problems with the bike. When thay finally ripped the $hit off and put the Triumph one on, they didn't get me a new harness (like they promised) just hard wired the Triumph one in. I've since left the bike to get a flat battery, and the alarm battery is now flat, so it won't turn off when I put a charged battery on. We're gonna sort it, just a circuit diagram would be handy if we can get one...

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

Hi there, regards a system 3 alarm diagram for your bike, its near impossible to get one,my alarms on my bikes are playing up after 5years use, both are system 3,rocket 3 had a factory fitted system 3 fitted, easy to take out as it was pluged in to the harness just akward to get out,my america was hard wired in,a little more tricky to do,12 wires in all,8 wires into the loom i just cut them and tape the ends,2 wires for the fly switch under the seat they go to the alarm unit i cut them,2 wires goes to the side stand plug conector i cut the wires and resoldered the original 2 wires to the plug connector of the side stand as that is part of the lock out starter of the bike,if you have the service manual for you bonni wire diagram its all there which should help you,no more flat batteries, and next time i will not have any alarms fitted to my bikes again, couple of dics locks i think is better and a false flashing alarm light, thats the way i removed my alarms, good luck.

Personally I would persevere with owning the datatool alarm built specifically for our bikes which are Plug and play, as well as unplug if you want.

I bought mine cheap ($170AUD) and installed it 3 years ago and haven't had any issues since. I wouldn't pay full price for one though as they are just too expensive.

Yeah, I don't think there is any one single fail safe means of preventing your bike from being stolen but besides a disc lock etc, they are in my opinion the best option out there.

They are Plug and play and if you do strike problems which you can't get round, they can be unplugged easilly as well.
