I've noticed a bit of oil leakage on the top of my left side cover where the clutch linkage attaches. It's not to the point where it is coming down the side of the cover, just a bit of seepage. Is this a serious problem? Or one that can wait for a while. Obviously there is a seal/gasket there that needs replacing. I am just wondering how urgent it is.

From what you describe if it doesn't bother you you can let it go for a while. Won't hurt anything unless it's leaking because the shaft is moving around.

Tell 'em that since Harleys don't leak anymore, your Triumph is more authentic. A non-leaking Harley is just a poser.......probably don't have an honest chain drive either

All ya gotta do is engage them in a quick sprint and then the crankcase back pressure will ooze some right out of their air cleaner

Now that's what a Triumph is supposed to do! Much more authentic.

Exact same thing happened to me a couple years ago. Just pull the leaky bolt, apply a dallop of rtv to it and reinstall. Let sit for 12 hours and leak should be gone.
