Hello friends. I posted here awhile back about my Bonnie surging and/or dying. After 2 years and new management and techies at my shop (YEA!) they diagnosed it as a sticky rollover valve starving my bike for gas. They said that this is basically a check valve that keeps gas from spilling if I roll it over. I told them I wasn't planning on doing that, but where are the pop out wings since I did plan on going airborne. They didn't get it. Anyway, after spending $$$ on the Triumph service manual when I got my bike, I find no mention of a rollover valve. Where exactly is this located, in case it case it sticks again out in the boonies? I don't have one on my bike but I recall it being located along the down tube between the carbs. Follow the vent tube and you'll surely find it in that area.

exactly...

If it hasnt been moved around it clips into a little holder that keeps it upright.

I had the exact same prob with my 05 speedie but my bike died out in the back blocks on no where. Luckilly for me I had read enough of info from here to work out the prob, so basically I just disconnected the tube.

If you can't find it, just follow the tube that connects to the overflow under the tank. You really do need to take the tank off which if you haven't done it yet is probably a good start to your learning about your bike.

Did they make absolutely certain that the vent hose coming out of the tank is not pinched? It is very easy to catch it between the tank mounting ears and the rubber biscuits on the frame when remounting the tank.
The effect will be the same.
If it really is the rollover valve, it is inserted into the tank vent hose in the general area of the center frame downtube. Take it out and shake it good until it rattles, then flush it out with gasoline or WD40. Let it sit until dry and shake it again to make sure it's not stuck.
If the tank is over filled and some gas goes down the small tube sticking up through the inner rim of the tank filler neck, it can close the rollover valve, and make it stick when it evaporates.
