Unless you can find a pair used somewhere, these Honda brackets have been used successfully by many here.

EZ Brackets, any on line bike parts store. I got mine at J&P Cycles.com. Around $150.oo. Easy to mount on any bag and easy to take off for maintainence or the solo look.

The EZ brackets are 145 on Eddy's site.
They are pricy compared to other brackets but they are worth it. Super easy to take off and on the bags and it still leaves a clean look when your bags are off. Just my 2 cents.

Mine came with those Magna brackets and they worked well but I opted to upgrade to EZ Brackets for the cleaner bag mount and ease of bag removal.

I have Magna brackets and hard-mounted my Saddleman Large Drifter bags to those brackets. I bought the brackets used here and have less than $200 in the whole system. I can't imagine riding without the bags, so hard mounted works great for me.
If I had to do it all over again, I may have popped for a set of the Leatherneck Jim's backs, they look first class (but would have doubled my cost).

All the details of how I mounted my bags are on this thread:

Thanks NJ, I'm interested in the Magna brackets if they're in good condition, how much do you want (+or- shipping)? I'm in Ithaca, NY.

Thanks everyone for all the input, since I leave my bags on I think I'll go for the Magna brackets.

I don't know about in the US, but I've bought a set of Triumph bags.. the square ones. I called my dealer this morning (and for those that know me... is really was morning.) about a new set of rails - I had them, but were on the 06 when it got stolen. The rails on their own were around £90 +VAT. The square 'bags are currently £115 INCLUDING VAT... Now I know they are not the biggest bags... as I have a pair somewhere, but if you don't have rails and bags yet, they are a great place to start... I looked when I got back from Dent last night, and I could get some Magna rails brought in from Hong Kong, for £30, then there's postage, import duty (cos yes they would...) and everything else. Just is a whole lot easier TBH.

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

I just ordered the Easy Brackets from Eddy. I don't like to ride with bags very often, but going back and forth to work and traveling I think they will be a little more useful. I can still ride most local rides without them.
