I had a dead battery tonight thanks to me being an idiot and leaving the key on. I have an 09 efi America. When I was trying to put everything back together after getting it jump started the bottom hex head screw felt like it stripped out. I will check it out in the morning after the sun comes up but if it is stripped what are my options?

helicoil or drill and tap over size or use a self tapping screw.

sorry but...can you be a tad more specific? The one that comes to mind is the one that holds the cheese grater in palce. If its that one repalce it. Its a threaded bushing pressed into the plastic cover. I dont know you could re-tap it or helicoil it.

Correct it is the bottom screw in the "cheese grater". I am at work now but plan on taking a look at it when I get home this afternoon.

Well it is definitely stripped. When I went to look at it the screw was sticking out a little. I gave it a slight tug and it pull right out.
