Clinton Cycles of Camp Spring , MD has a T-Bird for Demo rides. I made an appointment for last evening and took a ride. The salesman said I was the only one so far to do it? They have two, one for sale and one to demo, both Black.

The bike handles well and is balanced nicely. Shifts thru the gears smoothly and has power in ALL gears. We went on maybe a 3 mile run, local roads, got up to 50 mph once, mostly in 3 & 4 gears. At one point was doing around 45 mph and taching 1500 rpm in 6th gear.

Sorta feels like my America but more 'weighty'. The first thing to do is get rid of those stock pipes! Very quiet, but the motor was also, very little top-end noise. The clutch is nice and smooth too.

I asked if I could come back tommorow for another ride and policy is one ride per customer, but that's ok, I really enjoyed it!

Good people there at Clinton. They are about 35 miles from me but was worth the trip.

Just got an email from Triumph stating that the T-bird has been named 2009 Cruiser of the Year. That is a pretty stout honor.

I've thrown a leg over that demo bike three times now (haven't had the time to ride it). Looks like I need to make the time to give it a ride too.
