can I swap out my Speedie [07] tank for a bonnie or thruxton gas tank? not worried about loose'n the dash, just wondering if mounting points are the same.

mounting points are not the same, think you have to mod the tab by the seat. That's all I remember but I know it was done.

It's been done, but it is not an easy task. The America/Speedy tank has a wider tunnel so the new tank requires some delicate stretching. Some have removed the tank console, giving the tank a more traditional appearance.

I want to do the same thing...definately gives it that classic triumph look...Im either goingt o swap tanks...or ditch the console and fill it in with bondo or something...and paint the whole bike a "BBQ grill black" I think it looks real good if you leave the upper fork covers on and maybe even make a flat wrap around peices connecting the forks behing the headlight...paint all that black including the headlight. And that'll look SICK!

What kind of black paint did you uase moe and what kind did you use Toonces? Textured or no?
Also...Is that a different front end on moe's bike or is it loweered?

Ryan, i used satin black on most and flat black on smaller bits, all rattle can. my front is lowered to match rear--don't know about Moes
