Hi to all, not posted here for a while. Had a pretty ****** year - my wife (of 21 years) left me last August and I had a fairly serious off on my Rocket in April. I've had a couple of skin grafts and a while on crutches since then. On the positive side I now have my bike back and I've met a very nice lady recently The R3 is in the garage after 2 months in the dealers being repaired but I don't think I have enough strength im my leg (as a result of my off) to ride it at present. Well, riding would be OK but holding it up at a standstill might be a problem So I might be on the lookout for a lighter bike - something like a Speedy would fit the bill

Geeze man I didn't need to see that! My stomach just can't take it... and yet my daughter became a doctor. Go figure. Always sorry to hear about an accident with the bike. You've had some rotten luck with that and your wife leaving. Things gotta get better from here on in. Best to you!!

Dang! Looks like they had to cut away something there. Looks healthy though. Heal soon and get back on that R3.

Cue music..."Back in the saddle, again....." A good woman can sure heal a lot of wounds. And a good woman AND a good bike ride ensures twice as much recuperation! Good luck to ya!

Blimey... a blast from the past!!
Welcome back!!! I still have your old Speedie pipes. Never used them mind. But they are sat, just in case...
And if you got to Pidcocks for a new bike.... you don't know me!!I just got a huge bargain in my new from them. In fairness, they've always been very fair with me. Much fairer than the dealer down here...

Glad to hear you're on the mend, Simon. And, congrats on that brighter bit of news there!!! (man...what it takes for "some people" to stay in touch, huh?!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
