OK, my bike started "creeping" while stopped in gear at red lights/stop signs, shifts were clacky and neutral was hard to find. I adjusted the cable at the clutch lever and everything seemed fine. Last night the cable broke at the motor end. Once stopped and engine off I pushed the motor side of the clutch (what's that called??) forward and the clutch did not disengage nor would the starter spin. If I put her in neutral she starts right up. Any idea what that means? The clutch isn't slipping, rather it seems to be fully engaged. Anyone experience this?? BTW this "creeping" started happening after I changed oil using the expensive Rotella. I hope they didn't change their formula.

I'm such a goober. Please forgive my panicked post. All I had to do was put a new cable on. It just so happens I have a 1980 Honda CM400E with only 1500 original miles sitting in a barn at my mom's house. I bought the bike from a woman I work with for $1 two years ago!! I scavenged the cable from the Honda and put it on my bike and road her home. Thanks to whoever put that piece of information in the "Parts Cross Reference" in the Tech Vault!! I now have a clutch cable that has 1500 miles on it and it is 29 years old!!
