After thinking about it, JC has 2 foam filters for $33 (#ccc022471), very inexpensive. Do these suck , or do ya get what ya paid for? Figure with factory carbs and only AI done, these oughta be a breeze to clean. Or maybe the big bore...

I would go with the UNI filter. It is very easy to clean and reuse. I clean and re-oil mine every yearly service. The performance increase is documented. To get the max. benefit, you need to pull the snorkel. Doing those two things is the cheapest performance gain you can get. My UNI is four years old and in perfect shape.
