Can't say I blame you... I'd love a R3 to keep company with my TBA. Enjoy your new girl!

Come on in Doug, the water's fine!

It's funny, I thought the America was big(ish) bike but I can't believe how iddy biddy it feels after riding my R3 for 12 months.
It's like getting back on a 125.

sorry for the confusion Frank, have read about this on a rocket forum, it seems a bit mad to me. How can anybody think that a car tyre can make a bike handle properly? Seems to me some are just to miserable with money for their own good. or there really are no corners in the USA.

Doesn't handle worth a hoot but, going straight ahead you may have more traction because the tread is flatter. There are variations of conditions where more contact area of a wide flat tire or the high unit pressure of a narrower rounder tire will work the best. But, in general, a large contact area with a tire soft enough to grip road surface irregularities usually grabs the best.
Going around corners by heisting the bike up over the tread and balancing on the narrow edge is another matter.

i had the ME880 on the back of my bike put on backwards (the guy was used to Harleys, I guess) and so she wore flat in the middle, and I remember the ****** of a time I had wrestlin to keep her on the edge of the tread with that. People that fit car tires are just lookin to wreck, and by all rights, should.
