Is summer every going to get here? Rode over a couple of passes today and frooze my a$$ off. It was about 45 deg. at 12,118 today. Still way to much snow for last week of June.

Tomorrow will be the first day under the mid 90's in about 10 days.

Summer?!?! Heck, I'm counting the days until fall so we can cool down. I took a 400 mile +/- ride last Wednesday when the weather service said we had a heat index of 118F, and it felt every bit of it. No matter how fast you were going, you could feel the heat coming up off the road and hitting you square in the chest.

Cheers,
Brad

Is it ever too hot to ride? Both people and motorwise?

No.

It may get hot soon and I'll still be riding.

Now Bill , we all know that out there in the DESERT it's DRY HEAT , so's 109 actually feels like 85 .

Now down here in the DEEP SOUTH , with all the sticky HUMIDITY according to the HEAT INDEX formula ( H-7.88-mph X F5.2 ), 95 actually FEELS like a sticky 109 . However , there is relief with the WIND CHILL factor - riding at 95 degrees @ 65 MPH will cool ya down to 95 degrees .

Hmmm , wonder what oil would be best at these temps ?

Summer's pretty much kicked in here. We've had our rains but for the most part it's business as usual. Down here in the bottom of the valley it can get up over 100F but all ya gotta do is head for higher ground to find cooler temps. Wishing good riding weather for all the rest of you.

The last few weeks we got up close to 100 degrees and very high humidity. We have now cooled off to highs around 80 and reasonable humidity. I think I'll take the bike to Dairy Queen for a snack today. I just have to decide if it will be in Missouri or South Dakota. :-)

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Like I said, it may get hot soon
118 is kinda like an oven, humidity can't survive.

Yeah , I remember you keep your tools in a cooler . You can't touch a wrench that's been lying in the sun , even here .
