Does anyone have any experience with the Speedmaster Touring Seat? I am considering buying one and was wondering if it's more comfortable than the stock seat. I see that the pillon pad is a lot thicker, but is the primary seat more comfortable?? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I know MikeSr has one, I had the chance to sit on it for a few minutes and can say my first impression- its much more comfortable. I will probably be investing in one this winter.

I've got both the gunfighter and the touring seat for my speedy. Can't attest to how the back feels since I have never sat back there, but I can tell you that my daughter definately prefers the touring seat over the gunfigher. As for the drivers seat, I really can't tell much of a difference between the two.. my bum still gets numb after about an hour or so, regardless of the seat (but it does that on any bike I've ever rode).
I think it does spoil the lines of the bike however, but it works pretty well when you add the sissy bar and luggage rack. I usually run with the gunslinger because of this, and mount up the touring seat when I know I'll being some longer range 2-up riding. Below is a picture of the seat and bar/rack setup just after I purchased my bike (click on it for a bigger shot).
Cheers,
Brad

i have both and agree w/ brad about the "lines."
the seat has more padding for the operator too. i wd say it moves me forward about an inch and up about an inch.
before i put the standard bonnie handlebars on my speedy, it really helped relieve pain in my neck from reaching forward to the drag bars.
it's great for the passenger. i don't have a sissy bar yet, but it wd. help the "lines" issue and be nice for the passenger.

While I don't do any 2-up riding (wife doesn't want to play). I have to say I kind like the looks of the touring seat with the sissy bar/lugage rack setup.

I had mine redone with a denser foam because I would get butt burn on long rides. If you weigh over 220, you might want to re build your seat with gel and a more dense foam.

I haven't noticed.. but then again, I really haven't put enough miles on my touring seat to have noticed. It will probably be going back on once I get my saddlebags, so I'll pay more attention when it does (particularly wrt height, as the bike seems a little low for me with the stock seat). As for the extra foam, I'm right around 220-230 so that might be a consideration.. Angelis, did you redo the stock seat or the touring one for the extra comfort?
Cheers, Brad

Well, I'll find out for myself in a few days. I found one, brand new, for $160.00 and it's heading my way. I'll let you know how it goes.

As is the case with Cat, I have both. I agree that the touring seat brings you both up and forward slightly.
Like Angelis745, I have also redone both seats with firmer foam and with brown leather.

You know, I figured as much... but then I started looking at all the clean bikes for auction and got distracted from why I was browsing e-bay...a 1978 T140 anyone? Or maybe that Concours quality Trident? Good stuff - Moto-lust for sure!

I have the standard seat and the single gunfighter seat with touring pillion pad. The wife found she could not really ride on the back of the standard and the touring single pillion pad seems to do the trick. I also found by adjusting the shock to a softer setting made a huge impact on the ride as well.

Received the Touring Seat last night and put it on. Flows good with my oversized back rest. The ride in the morning was comfy enough. My daughter says it is WAY more "cushy" than the stock seat. Now I just gotta find an Girlfriend to try it out.

are we talking about the triumph seats or corbin? I have a corbin gunfighter. its too hard. but i traded my stock stuff to brent, so i really dont want to send it back to corbin for the fix on the foam. Im concidering having comfort foam layed in on the top of it and recovered. guess ill use a pillow off the couch to ride around on while I have it done.

Just a tought... a difference between the America seat and the touring seat is a post mount for the tour seat that makes interchanging between it and the stock a bit of a pain. But as well, if you remove the aft mount plate from the tour seat, you can then remove the seat with just a pull of the lock cord. The plate on the rear of the seat doesn't really do much for you.
