Ah, it’s the last day in the office until July 7th, what a feeling. I leave Sunday for a six day motorcycle camping trip throughout PA. Some highlights of the trip are: Riding Rt 6 (touted as the most scenic road in PA); The “Pennsylvania Grand Canyonâ€; The Delaware Water Gap; Riding the “Old Lincoln Highwayâ€; Gettysburg, and Punxsutawney (I wonder what groundhog tastes like?). Wish me luck, folks, I’ll post pictures when I get back!

Chicken you say...I like chicken! So, posting a route, how would one go about doing that?

I actually pulled an archery manuever on ground hog last weekend. He kept burrowing under my deck, and I tried everything to keep the little critter out. Finally I caught him sun bathing with his back to me. I quietly slid the window up, and popped out the screen. He was so close I had to put my 20 yard pin on his lower back, and squeezed the release. Best shot I could have ever done. Hit him in the back of the head, and the broadhead got wedged between his two front teeth. Sorry to be graphic on that, but if they taste like chicken, he was a quick clean kill. I'll have to try that on the next one.
Do you just throw them on the BBQ?
BTW... that sounds like a heck of a trip. I'm actually planning one around Missouri's ozark hills and wine country.

Start here.
A little place for breakfast 15 West of Mansfield, PA in Wellsboro, PA off of Rt 6.

Nice inn in Mansfield (Mansfield Inn) too with a great restaurant right across the street. Let's see, South Carolina, Georgia, England, Georgia, Florida, and connecticut. Nor-East Rally 06. yep outside the Mansfield Inn

Dang sure is a purty sight to see!

Nor'East Rally 05

Some 5&20 hopps...

The Nor-East 06 group. Where the heil is chy?
I digress.
clicking on the 'here' link above will set you up with google maps. You can left click on the route and drag and drop. You can right click and add a destination. Play with it a bit you'll figure it out.

Shame, actually. He should avoid 219. 155 from Port Allegheny down to Emporium, 120 to Driftwood, 555 to 255, 255 to Dubois, 119 to Punxy is a much better route.
Next trip, eh?

I ride rt6 often, if you do then you should stop at the Wyalusing Hotel and eat. They have a bar under the hotel and the hotel has good food and that is where the bar food is from too. Not expensive and large portions. You will also go through Camptown, the song Camptown Races is from there and right near there is an overlook that over looks a really scenic valley. In that valley Marie Antoinette stayed for her safety and had a house and stuff there. Yes the same one who had her head cut off. I ride 6 a lot stay on old 6 for scenery or new 6 (Carbondale) new ropad and smooth and no cops, we cruise it at 100+ often.

Try to make it to Kinzua Bridge in Mt. Jewett off Route 6. Quite a sight!

Hey folks, I appreciate all the great information! I’m sorry to say; however, that my trip was cancelled. To make a long story short, while I was riding back to State College, after meeting my friend in Centralia, I received a call from my mother. She needed to have emergency surgery on Monday and was afraid to tell me as it would detract from my trip. So, I did what any good son would do and cancelled the trip. The surgery went well, we expect her to be released by Friday!
So, here’s to the best laid plans of mice and men, going oft awry!
In retrospect we had a great ride on Saturday and Sunday I rode my friend’s Buell for 100 miles. I’ll be writing about that in the “Other Bikes†section of the forum.
