I don't think there are any on the road here yet. Heck, I haven't even seen a display model.

BigJack in Northern Indiana is riding around on his. Maybe he will chime in at some point and report on the mpg with that new scoot of his.

The six speed gearbox will make a heck of a difference to fuel economy. I did a long ride (5000km) with a mate of mine not long back. he was on a 2007 softail custom. 96ci and a six speed box. He consistently flogged me on fuel consumption. I get about 220km to reserve for 14 litres of juice. The Harley would only use about 11 litres. I could not beleive it at the time, but more pony's means less throttle and the six speed means lower revs to cover the same distance. I would expect the same from the Tbird.

I was informed that this is a Speedmaster/America site and talk about my new bike wasn't appriciated so I will not post about it.That being said after just 500 miles and the motor still being tight its getting around 40 mpg.

Let's see; 15 of the last 40 threads here are about the T-Boid...

Heh! This forum would quickly gather cobwebs if Thunderbird chatter was not allowed.

Ain't that the truth. 6 threads on the 'Bird on page one alone, 7 if you count the old triple T-Bird!

Oh well. They'll get over it. I, personally, would like to hear about the bike from a first hand owner and appreciate any and all comments you make.

+1. It's gonna be a few years before I could even think about affording one, and I am curious. And besides, it is a TRIUMPH, for Gods sake.

Yeah..that's probably it. Personally Jack, I would like to hear as much about your new bike as you want to share with us. How is it comfort wise compared to you America? Will it make a good touring rig? Anything you don't like about it? I want to hear it all!!

PES, with my eyes closed I would sware I was on a hopped up America. With the pegs lower and closer to you it's a comfortable long hauler.Only complaint comes from the wife. The passenger pegs are so far forward she gets no support from her legs.50 miles sitting on your tailbone and back pain sets in.I've designed a bracket to move the peggs back 3in. and up one inch to clear the pipes. These are being made as we speek. When my sissybar becomes available I'm sure it will help.
