My fiance just found out that Neil Harper from the UK stole her identity and subscribed to a bunch of adult websites. What a scumbag...and other choice words that would get **** out.

Luckily we caught it and got the card shut off now, but we have to put the work in to reverse all the charges. Those better have been some pretty lovely ladies!

Some people have no class or decency. Good luck on getting it all straightened out.

same thing happened to me once. I bought a 3 or 4 dollar part online and someone got my card info. I had a ton of adult sites charged to that card and some international calls too. Most refunded me right away but a few never did. I think I ended up on the hook for about $150 if I remember right. The original bill was well over $500.

More and more a sign of the times. I doubt anything can be done with such thieves, but if they made me King, a few old fashioned and very English punishments come to mind. One of them has to do with heating up a slippery commodity, whose name I am reluctant to mention, for fear of another "thread" bearing its title.

Things are deteriorating, that's for sure. Be extra, extra careful. That's all. It ain't like it was when I was a kid... never lock the house, leave keys in the car, trust everyone... and so on. Now that's not to say 'don't become jaded' because for gawd sake, don't become jaded. If we did things like the community at ba.com would not exist.

Meanwhile it boggles the mind to consider why some people do wrong toward other people. But they do and we have to be prepared. Remember this... the majority of people are still good, honourable, caring folk just like you.

Hmmm, that would be a tragic shame if he was to slip and fall or something

You know it's sad but you expect the danger with online shopping. I'm sure that's how it happened. This site and the group of people I have met with it have been the best business and service I've found yet. So thumbs up to all y'all!

The thing I purchased online was software right from Microsoft so I could run something on my old Performa series Mac. The Mac wasn't old at the time.

So far so good. Looks like 2 of the 4 charges are getting reversed. Just waiting for the others to clear and hopefully we'll be in the clear. Not a lot of money just a PITA to sit on the phone with the banks and websites.
