Only one thing you need to know about Las Vegas and to bear in mind ....Gambling is a tax on the stupid.

I cannot decide whether to be a good example or a horrible warning ! Peace & respect http://www.tomcc.org/gg/ Eric

One of the 7 natural wonders: The Grand Canyon. Figuring I may never get back, we sprung for a flight over it, then helicoptered down in, then a boat ride on the river, then lunch with the Native Americans who own the land there. I think it was around $350 per person? I don't recall the price. Well worth it.

Hoover Dam is awesome

Blue Man Group

Cirque De Soleil

Fremont street with the light show on the roof. Walk in the footsteps of the old school gangsters at the un-refurbished section of the strip.

The show is done with sequenced light bulbs, not projection, and there's no charge to see it.

They say Red Rocks is incredible too, but we didn't get there

If comfort and a memorable place to stay are on the list, The Bellagio won't disappoint.

As you likely are aware, at Vegas you are within driving distance to the west coast, in case any of the party want to dip a toe into the Pacific Ocean. I believe the distance is around 200 miles? I'm not sure.

If you are in the LA area on the 27th of September you might want to check out the Long Beach Motorcycle swap meet. Its huge. September 13th is the Long Beach High Performance Auto swap meet. Its huge as well. Go to www.toppingevents.com for info.

No, no, no, you've got it all wrong. Gambl...er gaming is merely entertainment. It's fun to watch your cash go help beautify the Strip with lovely construction projects.

Will you be riding while you're here? Some nice rides in the Fall, though September is still fairly hot.

Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire, Red Rock.
Death Valley is only a couple hours away as is the Grand Canyon. All are worth a visit.
billpvegas is likely more familiar with the night life

You can go to Pahrump and get a "menu" for a unique souvenir.

PG-13, maybe "R" warning: Menu

Maybe Dwight can help with the L.A. stuff. He's retired and has lots of time

Yep! Notice the number of posts I've got around here, Ade! That pretty much confirms Bill's observation above, right mate???!!!

If I'm not in Kelowna BC visiting my Ma and the rest of my "hoser clan" up there during that time, I'll be happy to show you guys around L.A. and SoCal while you're here.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
