Triumph had T-Bird demo rides at Fun Spot near the weirs at Laconia bike week. I was on a nice Silver and Black one.
Pros:
Lots and Lots of torque.
Handled extremely well and felt solid.
Slow speed handling was excellent.
clutch was easy and smooth
Suspension was much better than my America.
Transmission was smooth
seat was comfy
looks are very good
engine sounds great
Self canceling turn signals.
nice grips
nice mirrors
Cons:
Speedo is in a bad spot and tough to see.
High frequency vibration in grips at 50MPH. (Not sure if that's normal or just my demo bike I had)
Clutch cover sticks out and is very hot.
Shift lever is tight and tough to get foot under but I think that can be adjusted.
Braking seemed tougher than America which I didn't expect but it is a heavier bike.
Overall I liked it but wasn't that comfortable on it cause the engine is wide like a Harley. I will say I was surprised how fast that bugger was and I'm sure it would toast most cruisers excluding the RIII. She really pulled and that 6 speed shifted like butter. I think I like my America a little better and I'm not a speed freak anyway.
