The financial woes of the state of California have hit me (a state worker) very hard. I've been faced with some challenging dilemmas, including the sale of my most favorite ride I have ever had. My speedy left me today. I'm in a state of shock. It is only a possession, and a replaceable one. When I get back on my feet, I will replace it with another. All of you have been a great help! I'll still be around on the forums, but most likely a lurker....

No need to go anywhere just because you had to part with your bike. Maybe you will just get a plan on what you want to do with the next one you get by hanging around here. Good luck and sorry to hear the financial woes,I'm with ya. Lucky all my toys are paid off and I have a crappy job until things start looking up again.

Good luck in the future, times are tough for a lot of us.

Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

Best to ya man... I know it's hard to part with something you love, not just a bike but a pastime too. Times are tough but better times ahead. Keep the chin up!

You need a plan - Move to L.A., have a bunch of kids and let L.A. County Welfare pay you to watch 'em.

And you wonder why the Golden State is in the crapper.

Sorry to hear about your problems, though. You sound like the State's worst nightmare - a highly motivated individual, not wanting to rely on the System.
