I (Like Mountainman) like to think of myself as a bit of a musician. I didn't want to hijack his thread, so I'll post this here. It's a link to a few songs of my CD with my last band (I'm on bass):

(first and last tracks are my favorites)

Any other musicians here? Please feel free to post your stuff in this thread!

I know we have quite a few musicians here.
How about a sticky where they can post their music and we can enjoy it??

great stuff LanceD. Iam one of the owners of a guitar forum where we post up tracks, pics and stuff and can do jams where each player does a section and sends it on to the next and we end up with a track done by maybe 6 people from all over the world which is pretty cool. We try and help everyone from beginners to pros its really friendly. Check it out www.6stringheaven.com
Or check out my myspace page for some vids of me playing and some cool bike pics too http://www.myspace.com/bigdoug2112

I play bass, drums, guitar, piano, write songs, lyrics, and do my own recording and mixing in my basement. My current band is called Dead Pegasus in which I play drums and lead vocals as well as write 90% of the material. I have some songs on myspace right now that we recorded recently. The first songs called "motorcycle black". Its about getting killed by a person on a cell phone...haha

Yeah, Groundscore is pretty much done. Singer and guitar player were a couple. When they split, that was the end of the band. We'd been running out of steam for quite a while, though.... would have happened sooner or later anyway.

Hard looking for another project... Everybody I find who is GOOD is trying to make a living at it... too much trouble there (take themselves too seriously, want to practice 5 days a week, want to take gigs 200 miles away for $50, etc...). It's almost enough to make you stop looking... almost.

I hear ya Lance. That was my situation after my old band broke up I was playing bass at the time and couldnt find anyone willing to take writing/playing serious without trying to be a rockstar. So I just taught myself how to play drums cause I knew thats the hardest member to find. And after a year of searching on craigslist finally got a good lineup of guys who have decent day jobs, wives, and kids, and little extra time to practice and record.

Bummer. I hope you find some people to play with soon. I would sugest Brent Carnes, but he is already in Muddy River Nightmare Band (totally different kind of music) and I guess you couldnt start a band with two bass players.

I was kind of hoping that maybe you guys might still be around, I am trying to find a band to play at the Bonneville Celebration in August.
