First , how tall are ya and are your arms long or short ? I got some of the stock tall risers ( Speedy's , I think ) and now it's like a laid - back sofa kinda ride . Current cables will work , just may hafta move the throttle cables to the other side .

I used Jim's Spacers to correct that problem for me. Brought the bars up an inch or so and back somewhat. Gave me a more up right seating position for little money. http://www.spacerjim.com/TriumphAmer.htm?

Brent and Fast eddy both carry Rivco Risers for the America. These will give more up and back compared to Jim's Spacers, but cost more. Original cables will work with either option.

I bought a set of these from a member here and it helped make my ride more comfortable. But as Wade said, a lot depends on your height and arm reach. I'm about 5'7" so having the bars a bit closer seemed to help.

BTW, I have footboards, stock seat (gotta do sumpin about that sucker) and yeah, risers.
