I haven't seen this posted here yet but when I was a kid I watched the V series on tv and read the books. Looks like the new series on ABC might be good.

The trailer looks awesome. I used to love that show too when I was a kid. I didn't read much back then either, Z.

Well it does also answer a question about "Lost". I see the lady who played Julia is in it.
I really liked the original series, think it was on NBC. It had Robert Englund, as a "reluctant alien" in it as well. It's big problem was that it got very formulaic. There was always a big dramatic moment right at the end of each episode.
I'll definitely check it out.

"DON'T GET ON THAT SPACESHIP!!! 'To Serve Man' is a COOKBOOK!!!!"

(okay okay...so that was an old "Twilight Zone" episode...pretty much the same premise here, RIGHT???!!!)

(oh and BTW...I gotta say I ALMOST don't care that that brunette alien chick there in this "V" show is out to get us all...she's HOT!!!!)

As much as I'd like to be excited about this, it's just another perfect example that there is NOTHING ORIGINAL coming from Hollywood anymore.

Interesting, I watched "V" back in the day, but don't recall how it ended.

Sort of reminds of this new movie coming soon:

I love the British Sci-Fi/Horror stuff. (28 Days, Children of Men, etc.)

Very occasionally watched the original. Formulaic, to be sure. This new one looks promising. I'll probably check it out.

Looks like Morena Baccarin is in this. She was in the FireFly tv series that came out in 2002. I loved FireFly, but unfortunately FOX screwed the show over big time. Lets hope ABC at least gives this one a chance.

Yep that's her, good eye Tom I was looking at her legs. Alan Tudyk also from Firefly and Serenity is in it as well, he plays the main human characters FBI partner.

The trailer for District 9 looks awesome. Rumor has it this is the movie that Peter Jackson and Neill Blomkamp made when their plans for making a Halo (video game) movie fell through. There was also some speculation that Neill is untested as a director on large features and that D-9 is a test of sorts before making something much bigger like Halo.

Shoot, now I'm curious. How DID that show end, anyway? The last thing I remember is a character saw rows of human bodies packed away for future dinner parties. Anyone?

The cancellation of the TV series in the spring of 1985 appeared to have caught its producers by surprise,[citation needed] as the season ends with a cliffhanger. The TV series' single season was released on Region 1 DVD in 2004, and Region 2 in 2008.
