I have a 2008 Speedmaster with about 4,000 miles and for a while I've had a squeek, really more of a subtle "chriping" noise, coming from the front end of the bike. I'm can't really tell where in the front it's coming from, but I'd guess its coming from the front fork or wheel somewhere. It's not very loud so I can only hear it at low speeds. Anyone have a similar noise or have a guess or suggestion as to the cause?

I had wot you describe and it was one of the fork shrouds rubbing against the plastic seal just up from the bottom on the inside of the shroud.
Once I located just where, I gave the offending shroud a thump ( with my hand ) in the right direction and chirpy squeak gone.

Silicon spray up under the shrouds and the squeak goes away.

I had the same thing and some WD-40 sprayed through the red tube up under the fork shroud covers took care of it.
