I have a 2004 Triumph America with about 3K miles on it... i changes the spark plugs, battery and alternator on it, the problem is that the battery is nnot recharging. i jump start the bike it will run fine, the lights brightness fluctuate with the rpm, the higher i rev the bike the brighter the lights... if i turn off the bike it won't restart... can anybody help me figure out the problem?
thanks.

When was the last time the battery was replaced? Once dead .....

they stay dead.

Good day Eddie, Welcome to the forums.

Need some clarification. If the lights get brighter when you rev the engine up, the bike would appear to be charging. A voltmeter will confirm it. If it is charging, it sounds like you have a bad battery or loose/bad connections.
When you say the bike won't start unless you jump start it what do you mean??? Are you boosting the bike to start or are you jumpering out the starter solenoid??? Need as much detail as possible to be able to help.

Start with a detailed description of what happens after you push the start button.

today in the morning tried to take the bike out, pushed the start button it cracked a little and then start giving the ticking noise as if there is no juice in the battery... so i connected a charger to the battery and charged it for 20 min , the bike started right up...
went for a hour ride, parked the bike for an hour break, tried to start it after i came back it won't start, couple of my buddies had to push me so i started on the first gear and it started... hope this helps..

Have you checked charging voltage at the battery?

If the battery is new as you say, and the alternator is also replaced, it sounds like something is draining your battery. Try this:
1. Disconnect the ground lead from your battery and turn all switches off.
2. Charge battery if needed, lead still disconnected.
3. Measure voltage at the battery terminals, let sit overnight and re-measure in the morning - should be the same voltage.
4. If voltage is one volt lower, it's not holding a charge and the battery is probably bad. If volts are the same, touch the ground lead from the bike to the proper battery terminal (all switches off)and see if it draws a spark. If it does spark, you have a short or ground somewhere in the wiring that is draining your battery. Follow up with a circuit test. If it does not spark, you may have a voltage regulator malfunction.

Thanks a lot for the help, i try what you guys said and see if it helps.
i see couple plugs that are not connected anywhere but couldn't find where to connect them, and Dave i have that ground wire just hanging there and not connected anywhere ... it goes from the (negative of the battery and it is not connected to anything could that be the problem?
