Okay, I searched and came up empty. I'm looking for a good source of exhaust pipes. I'm torn on what I want; I think I either want a two into one system or ankle blowers. Perhaps both if such a rig exists. I've seen the ankle blowers on a bike picture but have yet to run into a shot of an America or speedy with two into one pipes.

Only saw one set and they were custom bent and welded. I believe that member (Strick) is gone and the bike sold. He hasn't posted in 3 years.
I checked and his Photobucket.com photos are gone, too.

Let me get this straight... you're looking for pipes for an America/Speedy, but you ride a V-Star?

Joining this site is part of my R&D, or a recon mission as it were. I try to be informed and have a plan of action in the few times that I take the time to do so, or am unable to act upon raw impulse. As of now I owe more on my bike than it is worth and need to pay down the principle of the loan by nearly 2K just to trade it.
So, yes I own a V-Star that I wish to trade soon and have left stock due to that fact. I am in the process of inquiring about all of the things I want to do with a bike.
My plan is to show up at the dealership with an appointment already made at the parts department and with accessories in hand. I want to ride out with the few modifications I'm interested in completed before I put the first mile on it.
If there's nothing wrong with me,
maybe there's something wrong with the universe!

Rev, I bought my HD with no money down (had to use my saved cash for unexpected medicals) and ended up owing way more than you do in neg. equity.
The Triumph dealer tried to get me financing with the neg rolled in, but couldn't do it. Then I thought (doah!) try my credit union. Because it was a brand new '09 right from the dealer, they were willing to roll it all in. I'm paying a year longer and $30. more per month, but I don't even think about that as I'll have this beauty long after.
Just something to consider.

Man those look great! I have but four questions.
Do they have baffles? Would they cause any problems with an EFI model? Do you have to preform any modifications to get them to fit the bike?
Do you have a pic of the other side???

1.Straight-through. Shoots great flames at shut-down.(rev it a bit and kill the ignition ) 2.Don't know. I ran them for 2 years with stock jetting, no prob. Obviously, like most exhaust mods, a Power Commander or some such is needed for max power. 3.Nope, straight bolt-on. Held with one pinch bolt each. Three years and never needed to re-tighten. 4.

Hey, one last question. What size pipes did you order for the Speedy, 1 1/2 or 1 3/4?

It's the same pipe. Ours is 1 3/4. The 1 1/2 uses a reducer that comes with the pipe.

Ah, thanks I'm still running stock on mine (with a little drilling) so I have no experience with changing pipes.

It couldn't be easier. Unbolt old pipes. New ones slide right on. One pinch bolt per side holds the new one on.

Saw a set of 2 into 1 on a customers speedy at the local dealer. They weren't done by the dealer and i was unable to get a photo. So 1000 words it will be. The pipe turned real tight of the ports and joined together on the the r/h/s level with the port. When i mean tight, it was before the frame down tubes. The cooler was removed and 2 after market ones were bolted to the front of the frame down tubes. The pipes were customs and were going to be wrapped. Once it was piped down and under the r/h foot peg there was an increase in the pipe dia. This o/d at a guess was 4.5 inches. There was a baffle plate system at the end of the pipes that gave you the option to remove or install more plates. There was and end cap on the pipe and i believe the gases were expelled out between the plates. It looked like 4.5 inch washers added onto the end of the pipes and the last one was a cap to block the pipe off. Didn't hear it running. Anyone seen or heard of this before.
07 SM, Thunder bike pipes, K ride bags, Driving lights, Backrest & rack, AI removed.
