I Tivo'd this last night and just watched it.

So in case you dont know about it the premise is that Jesse James does things that could kill him. This first one he trains to ride a Nitro drag bike down the strip. During this episode he:
* flew in a jet to 9gs.
* was set on fire (nitro fuel).
* ran a Pro Stock bike down the strip. (practice for the real thing).

I wont give it all away but Im not sure about this series.

Jesse seems a little bored at times and seems to be "dealing with" or "putting up with" the whole TV series thing...you know, the same reason he stopped doing Monster garage.

I guess time will tell.

* finally...ran the Nitro Bike down the strip.

I generally like Jesse James but this is not a "motorcycle show." It's a personality show. I'll probably still watch it but I might treat it like Survivor, fast forwarding past the dead weight and filler.

Yep! And THAT'S exactly what did in the FIRST Jesse James, ya know!

(Bob Ford needed the reward money)

Most of those shows are actually disguised personality programs. You know, talking about male interpersonal relationships and in particular using at least one bloke as the bad guy to foster high emotions in the audience.

I suppose you get higher ratings that way but all I see is a pantomine.

Before I had my back surgery I was doing a communications degree and one thing I did learn was about the "story within the story". Which predominantly is the interpersonal relationships side of things. Seems we are more interested in observing how others behave amongst themselves while we sit on the couch

Mind you, maybe everything of what I've just said is exactly what I'm doing now ie talking about personalities (including mine) on a motorcycle forum

Just watching the previews I'll probably not end up watching it. All I got out of it was, hey look at me I'm Jessie James. Blah, blah, blah mr. ego.

Get Biker Build-Off back on the air. Or at least season 2 of Sons of Anarchy...lol

2005 America, green/gray, gutted stock pipes, tall sissy bar w/ luggage rack, Saddleman's dual touring seat and Tourmaster saddlebags (and sissybar bag).

The parts got way to planted towards the end though.

The spin off was cool. People around the world built a vehicle and then came to race through an obstacle course, including deep water and a raised road with tight turns. They were limited as to what they could spend, not sure of any other restrictions.
