Oh yeah. I've been there, Rob. Only thing is I wear a half helmet and some eyewear so my face was pretty buggy when I got home. Gross to say the least but very high in protein.

Had the multitude like you and the one huge one too. I don't wear a helmet and little round glasses. I had a bug this weekend that was so big it covered the whole lens and I felt it go down the side of my face. I actually had to pull over and clean my glasses so I could see.

ewwww. I ride all year long and the warm season with all the bugs makes me appreciate riding in the cold. It may be cold but at least I'm not getting beamed by everything from gnats to huge dragon flies.

It's was pretty buggy on the way to ARK this weekend. I've been carrying Novus Clean and Shine and a cloth with me on trips for the last couple of years. It works like a charm. Clean the little boogers off at every gas stop or when needed.

"Little bOOgers", huh Paul!

So you're sayin' this Novus Clean stuff is pretty good for cleanin' the INSIDE of one's faceshield TOO, huh?

(hmmmm....I might have to get me some o' that stuff the next time I catch me a cold and decide to go ridin'!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Yeah, it's happened to me accept I didn't have my full face helmet on. I was ducking close behind my Memphis Fats for several miles. That night I also took a June bug off my knee. By the time I got home Hazel and I looked like a 2 month old strip of fly paper.

I live in the middle of several cattle and alfalfa farms. 'nuff said? Only difference between day and night is the kind of bugs and flying things chasing them.

We get the love bug swarms around here, and they can swarm anytime from now on through October. I hit them heading East on I-10 from a Cross-Country track meet my son was running in Seguin, Tx one September, and man my Mesh Raptor jacket and jeans could have stood up by themselves they were so encrusted with the things! There are three river crossings between here and there, and several smaller creeks and sloughs.....that was one impressive hatch that day!

Another good reason to wear and be thankful for a full-face!

And just as good a reason to not make a trip like that in a cage!

Several times that's why I ride with a windshield today. Every morning when I get off work I have to clean the windshield from a couple of hundred bugs that I hit on the way there. Did you ever notice the smell when you hit a swarm like that?

Had a bee get stuck in my bonnet once. And on another occasion got a hornet stuck under my shirt. In both cases managed to pull over before crashing but not before being stung!!

Always fun riding thru streams in this area at this time of the year. I went to my parents house on Sunday, my mom asked what was on my shirt. Dead bugs.....
