Greetings all. I didn't see an official/sticky intro thread, so I thought I'd just explain what I'm doing here. I started riding and still am on a '80 Honda CM400T. I've had that cycle for 9 (I think) years now. It is a starter bike that has long over stayed it's welcome. But time, money, what to buy, etc. has kept it in my garage. So, after looking whats out there, I've found a strong liking for Triumphs, and SM or BA at that. So in the mean time, I will probably just ask some more questions about these fine machines. Currently I am leaning towards a SM, but I have a love of spoked wheels, like on the BA. I know a rim change wouldn't be hard. But I am still shopping for a bike, so I just need to tame my 'what I would change/swap/custom ideas' for now... Ok. Thats a start.

You need to do it . Get the Triumph before the world realizes the magnitude of the machine . They will appreciate in value exponentially . Do it now . Fast . Are you still sitting there ?

RubeBoy, welcome! I wanted an America, and bought a Speedmaster because I found a good deal. The Speedmaster obviously has a different look and slightly different riding posture, but parts are interchangeable so don't let the name stop you from buying!

Speaking of fast black, GJS, there is an 02 with whitewalls on ebay in FLA, I believe. Very sharp. Anyone know who?

Welcome to the site! There are some excellent deals on used Americas and Speedies right now. I also think the Rocket III is a tremendous bargain on the used market, especially considering how exotic it is. Good luck and hope you get a Trumpet soon!

Get yourself a Triumph and experience a change. Feel the difference between ordinary and extraordinary. The way I feel as a Triumph rider is... we are special because we belong to no one but ourselves. Mainstream? Ha! Blink and I am gone.
