Has anyone installed the Triumph fender mounted rack? Does it distract from the Speedies looks?. Does the seat rail help out much on the looks??

Keith, I believe the rack requires the solo seat. How much that distracts from or enhances the appearance is a matter of personal choice. I've seen a few on pic. posts and one or two in person. They seem to look ok. If you don't want to lose the seat and want to experiment, Harley has a shorter version for the sportster that goes above the tail light. I once thought about seeing if it would adapt be opted for the backrest/rack instead.

Here's a link reagrding this subject: Luggage Rack PostI don't own the seat rail (yet). The Harley luggage rack might not be compatible with the Triumph seat rail. The mounting point that's shared between the luggage rack and seat rail may not be condusive to use with the Harley luggage rack. You would need an America style single seat and its mounting bolt to use either luggage rack on your bike. Keep in mind the luggage rack is only rated for 10-15lbs, so it's mainly for "show", or one 12 pack of beer when tie downs are used.

Not to hijack this thread but Keith, I spent ages 4 - 20 in DeSoto. Go Eagles!
BTW - We'll be carrying a new rear luggage rack around the first of the year.

I have the rear luggage rack fitted.
I prefere the single seat option and the rack, though rated a some piddly small amount, will take a sh!tload of stuff!
You should see my bike when I go camping ...
Here's mine:

Yup!
I like 'em.
They seem good quality - just wish I'd gone for the slightly bigger 'touring' ones upfront.
I never carry a pillion (obviously - solo seat and rear luggae rack!) but prefer the look of the rear peg hangers to solo finishers, so I kept 'em.

Adey,
I saw those in your photopost today. I was looking to see if you had anything written up on them and viola (spit), here they are. What are they? How much? Are they a UK deal or can I get them here in the US? Those look awesome. I was considering R3 footpegs but these look a lot cooler.
Brent,
Looking forward to seeing your luggage rack. After paint last year and riding this season I decided that is the route I need to go. I'll keep an eye on your website. Don't let us down man!
Ride On!

Hi, I like the set up you have with the seat rail and the luggage rack. I have a 2005 Speedmaster. When I tried to put the seat rail and the luggage rack on my bike it wouldn't fit. Did you have to modify anything to get them to work? Larry

Hi again, I tried to put the Triumph luggage rack with the seat rail and it didn't work. Where can I get the luggage rack in your photo? Larry

The Harley luggage rack and the Triumph seat rail will work just fine together, along with the stock America seat. I just posted a photo of them. The HD rack is lower to the fender than the Triumph rack and the bolt holes match well with the Triumph fender. I used the standard America seat bolt and a SM rear seat bolt.

Since I have the touring seat and the sissybar/luggage rack, I would like to find a very short fender luggage rack that would fit between the tail light and seat.

Larry,
You can't fit the seat rail or rack on the speedmaster seat. Do you have the solo seat yet?

Hi Keith, I have the solo seat with the rail. I have seen a rack that Dennis Kirk carries that I have been told will do the trick. It is only $62. Larry
