I will be going to this. Anyone else interested in attending?

Extract from their website.....

The ride to the American War cemetery idea, came about through my brother. He regularly passes this place and noticed the apparent ‘stillness’ and ‘air of loneliness’ of this memorial. Buried here are all the 8th USAAF casualties who made it back to this country, either dead or dying, from bombing raids deep into Germany during the second world war. Alongside these fliers are the American infantry, Navy and Marine dead from ‘D’ DAY and the first few days after this landing on French soil. In total, nearly 4000 brave men.

We both sat and thought that, it might be a nice idea to try and arouse some enthusiasm for a commerative memorial ride in the manner of the RTTW in 08.

Permission to do so has been granted by the US government department responsible for the cemetery and by the Supervisor of the cemetery here in the UK. Oddly, this year, the 4th of July falls on a Saturday and therefore this day was chosen.

Mark,
Normally I would jump at the chance, unfortunately it clashes with the National Road Rally, which I have entered this year.
So if it happens again next year let me know.

Looking like there will be 150 plus motorcycles attending this worthy rideout! I have put my name down... hope to see a few of you there.

Just noticed this on the website "The police will have at least 3 motocycle outriders plus a double manned police car to provide a 'rolling roadblock'. There will also be PC's on foot at each junction/traffic light/roundabout to ensure any contrary traffic will be halted to allow us to ride as one group."
