I can't say that I remember. Sorry Dave, but this was before my time I guess.

I too can't say I remember that either, Dave. But in my case, as compared to Aaron here, maybe that's because it might've been AFTER my time. However, I DO remember a song my ANOTHER Mr. Young which in a way echos many of the same themes as "your" Mr. Young did in his song, but which I'll guess preceeded it by at least a decade or so. (and without further adieu, here's the gent and the song of which I speak....I think it's kind of "clean, simple and great" also.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVC2cszdTao
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

+1!, I remember a documentary on E Hollywood where A.P., Sara, and Maybelle Carter said Paul Young was a major influence in their lives and music. It's even been suggested that A.P. put his signature on one or two of Pauls songs! I belief it was "John Hardy was a desperate little man", and "Wildwood Flower"!
