Just wanted to report that there is nothing wrong with my motorcycle. She's runnin strong, and I just can't get her to quit. I figured I'd throw this in here to equal out some of the problem childs.
Tomorrow I get new shocks (HD Sportster) 11.75". Hopefully they lower her a bit, but still allow plenty of travel. I'll let you know what modifications I have to do along they way. Oh and yes 08America, I'll get some pictures up of my left side freak setup. Just be patient as green bean and I are bonding again, and redoing my driveway.

I'm having the same problem. Not a single thing to troubleshoot or fix. I'll bet by my posting this that something will require attention soon! No,wait. It's bad luck to be superstitious!

I'm gonna tighten my chain one more time before I replace it.

I was thinking about taking the winter air out and putting the summer air in.

Had one , don't want another one.Unless I luck into a knuckle or flat head.Even then I would start looking for someone that wants to swap me for a Speedtwin.

Must admit I create a problem here and there just so I have something to work on.

Aaron, glad to hear green bean is running well. No sweat on getting the pics. I was gonna get an opinion on my left side too.

So I'm going to lower the rear tonight, and maybe the front. Depends how froggy I'm feeling. I'm also preparing for the license plate laydown mod, but still waiting on parts. It's so much better making up things to do to my bike than creating problems, and then being stuck fixing my own mistakes.

You guys have my respect and admiration for having bikes that run like champs... mine doesn't. It been in the shop on and off since last summer. It's there right now too hopefully getting another new coil (the other one has already been replaced) and a new ignitor. After that gets fixed I still need to have the carbs/jets tweaked again to get it right.

I've been reading your posts, Don , and I feel for ya. Definately isnt' the nature of these beasts. But I'm not gonna jinx myself, like those other guys, by declaring on the reliability of my bike. I'm too paranoid by nature.

Don, I have a feeling once you swap ignitors, your bike will be running like new again. Don't give up yet!

Got home yesterday from a 7061 mile trip. Took a Haynes manual and a 10 lb tool pouch. Never opened either. My o8 now has 14,463 trouble free miles.
