I went on a 150 mile Round trip with a co-worker to a motocycle gathering today to see the Kansas Motorcycle Museum. 4 miles from destination the road is closed and detoured for construction. Some make-shift barricades are in place and not a worker or even a car on this rural 2-lane.
Co-worker (newer honda 1600cc cruiser with 2+) and I are stopped side by discussing if we should run it or add more miles. Harley(softail, lowered w/apes and 2+)comes pulling up and its trail riding time . We can turn-around if impassible but the ground is dry and asphalt striped, piled and some removed.
Honda no problem,Triumph no problem overtaking and performing evasive manuevers to prevent a collision with the Harley that got stuck in the dirt!
Yes Yes Yes it was a good day!!!
As For the stranded harley rider?
Its O.K. his girl knew to push!!!!

Funny you should post that. I ran across a stuck Harley yesterday afternoon while I was out running errands on my BA. The guy said he didn't need help, was just gonna clean out the fuel filter. Odd thing was, it looked brand new.

Maybe his bike payments are so high he can't afford to buy clean gas.

Must be a sign of the season. I saw one the other day on the side of the road being loaded on to a flat bed... lots of bling though...very shiny.
