Has any body had this problem? My bike is breakin up at about 3000 rpm? It idles good, and above 3000 rpm runs good. It's just around 3000 rpm it breaks up, like a miss? I tryed SEAFOAM no luck, took the carbs apart and cleaned, and no luck??? Does any body have any idea?????

Check all your connections, plug wires and electrical plugs for loose or corroded connections. Also check your plugs.

If it was a electrical problem it would happen all through the rpm range? This just happens at 3000 rpm?

not really, it all depends where the electrical problem lies. I didn't say it was electrical just the first place I would look for that issue. It is very hard to diagnose anything from a distance, Just think of possible causes and then I always post what I think is the most likely first. If it isn't there then at least those are eliminated. Basic trouble shooting. Start with the most likely cause and eliminate them and keep going until as much as possible is eliminated in the order of likely hood. Could possibly be a slide issue but I don't think that is as likely as an electrical issue although possible. It probably isn't a fuel feed issue since it clears up after 3,000 RPM. Could be some crud in a carb circuit too. The list of possibilities I think would be confusing so I weigh the causes in my head and post what I consider likely. If I posted all the possible causes then there is no point since you can go through all possible causes yourself.

That's about the speed where the carb slides just start to open. A little crud built up on the needles or their jets would do that. Gets better when you go faster because the needle taper opens up more space for fuel to get by.

I had a bad coil that acted just like you described.
