HD sells a pair of rain gaiters that come to just below the knee. Does anyone know who makes them, or if there are similar ones out there?
I've seen the Hopnel ones, but don't want ones that come up over the knee.
Thanks.

This is what I'm looking for, perhaps I should have called them over boots or something. http://tinyurl.com/q8wx59Jim

You should be able to get something like that at farm supply stores.

I wear gaiters when I x-country ski. They clip on the laces of the boots and come up just under the knee.

The problem with most of the gator items suggested is that they don't have the heat resistant panels that the H-D ones have ( I did find a online outfit that sells the same thing as H-D, but they were just as pricey ). That was my primary reason for wanting them, as my Frogg Toggs don't. I have a pair of waterproof boots, and a pair of the GoreTex socks for my lighter weight boots, so I don't really need the water protection.
I know there's a heat shield kit available from them, but you need to buy 4 of them to get max protection for the suit pant legs.
I found a guy selling a pair of the H-D ones for $20. Only thing is, they are size large, and they must be for a size 12 and up.
So I think I'm going to chop off the toe area, and wear them just as traditional gators.
Thanks for the replies.
