Let me start by saying before you ask, yes, i am an idiot. Just wondering if i'm the only person to do this. When reading posts here from members from England, I give the poster an english accent. Same with the folks from Australia, you all sound a bit like crocodile Dundee, or Steve Irwin in my head. I'm even dumb enough to give the people from the southern part of the US a southern accent. Not all the time, not with everyone, but sometimes. I know it's stupid, and I'm not trying to offend or ****** anyone off, I just didn't know if others do this also, or should I be seeking professional help.

for me its usually based on how they type that sets it off.
Bedouin you really dont have an accent to me because you type normally.
And this might be going a bit further, but Dwight, I always thought you sorta looked like Christopher Walken in whatever picture I seen you in. So when I read your posts, its Christopher Walken making bad jokes and pisn off right wing folk..haha

Funny you should mention this, Tom!
I ALSO think this place would be a heck of a lot better IF we had more cow bells around here TOO!!!
(I SAID "cow bells", NOT gremlim bells there, BTW!!!)

I never thought about it before, but I may now. I'll give you a Kevin Spacey voice.

I live in chicago, but I don't have the typical chicago/midwestern accent, (insert a y before the a in words, like syausage, or byack in the dey). I grew up in southern Delaware, so that's a weird accent to describe. Kind of a Baltimore accent with a southern drawl. I've lost most of it, but when I talk to my sister or friends back home I'm like DANM! Did I sound like that!

One thing that helps is meeting some of the guys here and being able to put a face and a voice to a name. I guess I need to come to the Midwest Rally so I can get more voices in my head.
Wait.
More than the usual ones of course!

I've heard several of the member's voices in person (as have many of you) and I still don't hear their voices when reading posts. Except Adey. If he "types British" (especially slang) I hear his voice. LOL

The first NY rally I attended a few years ago was a real culture shock for me.... Everybody there talked funny and they drank a bunch of weird beers too. Fruity stuff... They had no idea what pop was, what gumbands were, or what reddin' up meant. And they all looked at me like I was the strange one... When they type, I can remember their voices. And that's a good thing.

Anyone who ain't from picksburg talks funny n'at. They eat funny stuff, and do some rilly weird stuff, too n'at. Most ovum are nebby annay want to know yinzes bidness n'at. annay want to know yinzes bidness. Some ovum pretend some sort of super intellegance. I once heard that they teach allsa astronauts how to talk pittsburgese cuz it is da universal language. I believe its true cuz I once heard some guy at da Smithsonian say sumpin abaht picksburg and ahtter space. My mother wanted me a rocket man n'at. She used to train me by putting me in da dryer and spinning me fer a couple of ours n'at. I would smell rilly nice cuz she would put some fabric softner in wit me n'at. Da real reason was only cuz she dint want to git a static jolt whenever she took me aht. One time she put me in dere wit a pop bawdle filled wit tang that she attached to my arm wit a gumband.

I grew up in pittsburg and now live in Michigan. I get a lot of crap for how I talk. Child is "chowd" and Don and Dawn are pronounced the same. Not to mention all of piperdr's pittsburg-ese. Let's go 'quins!! I do give all the overseas guys accents, especially with 'mate' and 'cheers'. Usually add Tallyho at the end in my head too And "I know enough to be scared of KaiserSoze"...
