Nice, but I think this needs wider attention in the Lounge, since it's not specifically about custom bikes.

Nothing's more difficult to shoot than black and white subjects, or in this case, black and chrome. Nice job! Here's one of mine, from back when I was still shooting chromes on a regular basis. Scanned with a lowly Coolscan III: Cactus Beetles And just to keep this on the subject of MCs, here's a more modern image, shot at 10mm with a Canon crop body: Wonder how many other photo enthusiasts we have around these forums...

Lighting and subject look great - I just keep getting distracted by the crinkles in the backdrop - maybe less depth of field or a better quality material for the backdrop - or even just an ironing.

I have a camera on my cell phone But really, when I was younger I had an Olympus OM2 and enough lenses to do just about anything.

By all accounts, the 5D MKII is one of the finest DSLRs available from any manufacturer. I made the move from Nikon film bodies last year, and decided to go with Canon for my digital switchover. At one time, I had a goodly number of Nikon lenses, but most have now been sold. I still have five or six lenses to fit Nikon, two of which I occasionally use now on the Canon 40D (Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 and Kiron 28mm f/2.0). I also still have probably a dozen Nikon film bodies to sell off (FA, FG, F100, N6006, etc.). Ironically, if Nikon hadn't boned me so badly when I sent my F100 to their California facility, I would never have known how much better Canon is.

One my favorite shots of "Clyde" at Valley of Fire in Nevada last year:
07 Speedmstr, Long Tors, bags, sissy bar and rack, windshield, engine bars, 2 ww lights, 2 fast eddy stickers and a .45 ACP.
