Ok I admit I'm a fan I lived a block from the shop at one point so its fun to see the area it reminds me of that time in my life. I was watching last Thursday and at the very end Sr mentioned to Jr that he was going to build the Triumph he bought a couple years ago. Now when I was down at Ed's service to get my 500 mile service done. I mentioned to Stacy (sales person) that we were riding don't to the OCC shop. She told me they had sold a T100 motor or bike (she was not clear) to them a few years back. There is a pic on there web site. I hope they build it on air it would be great to see something besides V-twins. Besides the show is better Sr fired Jr and they are back to building real bikes.

I've never seen an OCC bike that I like. I've never seen a detail on one of their bikes that I like, which is unusual; normally, I can find something.
Their website bangs on about originality and innovation...can someone please show me some? Perhaps that part of the website doesn't show on this PC.
Oh, the only reason I'd want them to do anything with a Triumph engine is to get them (Triumph) into the public eye. As for what they 'create', I shudder to think.

I am not a big fan of choppers but I like the Triumph. It seems they went overboard a little with the fake flames though. If you rode it at all I'd be afraid they would break off. But I guess the bike would be more for showing off or putting in your living room. I may be mistaken but I think they arleady did some shows on the bike awhile back, I seem to remember watching an episode of them working on the high pipes and fake flames coming out of them.

From the News and Events section on the OCC site:

quote

May 14th - Triumph Bike
Paul Jr. and Paul Sr.'s relationship is rocky at best, and now that Jr. is no longer an employee of OCC, Paul Sr. tries his best to make amends. He invites Jr. and Mikey up to his house to work on a Triumph Bike, not for a client, but just for fun. The sparks continue to fly, only this time it's Mikey's turn to go head to head with Sr.

I hope that isn't what happened to my friends Bonnie. Sold them a 71 Bonnie a few years ago that was bone stock and had 6,000 miles on it. It was supposed to go in the museum they were trying to put together.

We've seen them do worse. At least it isn't a theme bike. The one they did for my company (Northrop Grumman) was pretty much an abomination.

I was at the Keystone Resort, Colorado this past week for a National Guard Logistics Conference and they had the OCC National Guard Bike there. The bike wasn't bad but nothing really special. I didn't even take a picture of it but I did get plenty of pics of the beautiful country side. It was nearly 2 miles above sea level, definitely a lack of oxygen up there! It took a little getting used to for sure!!

I am pretty sure that some of the guys on this forum could have done better. If you look at some of the work done by well meaning amatuers working to a real tight budget. I know I have seen quite a few bikes on here that I look at and think now thats smart.

Imagine what you could achieve if you hade a huge workshop a team of highly skilled engineers and shelves with hundreds of brand new parts lying about.

I cannot decide whether to be a good example or a horrible warning ! Peace & respect http://www.tomcc.org/gg/ Eric

I actually like most of that bike, I also like the pan that Paul Sr. did with Cody but that's about it. This Triumph is cool for the most part, like the paint including the way the frame is done, also like the front end. Don't like the bars, exhaust, or seat.

The fuglyness aside its putting the triumph name out there more, its better then a V-twin, and it might help the American triumph aftermarket.

Lose the chain guard, pipes, seat, and bars and it would be OK. Not really hot on the tank and dash set up but it's not too bad either.

I guess it would be an “old school” Triumph, if “old school” resided at the Neverland Ranch and Brando wore a Barney costume in “The Wild One.”
IMHO, taking such a beautiful, iconic engine and mounting it onto a circus attraction does not help Triumph.

There were so many other ways to design this bike. How about a simple bobber (one that Brando wouldn’t have to wear a costume on), or a cross between the bike in “The Great Escape” and a bobber? So many ideas, so little time….quick, someone get me a wrench I’m going to fix this thing.

In todays economy it won't be long before OCC will be building old school Honda choppers. they have run their course on everything else.

I've seen some Honda 750-four choppers that are better done than some of the crap they throw out there.

I'm a huge fan of Exile bikes, those are just flat out badass.

Although I would make the changes other have already suggested, (remove up swept pipe extensions, chain guard, etc), I am glad they built a Triumph chop. Naturally they OCC'ed it, but what else did anyone expect?

It is the trap that custom builders can fall into when trying to always build overly unique bikes that end up looking somewhat the same. Remember the first Arlen Ness diggers? Well 100 of the same bike later, the thrill was gone.

I do like most of their Old School builds though.

Judging by the bikes I saw in Paul Srs garage in the last episode (10th anniversary bike) it looks like hes quite a fan of Triumph. I spied a few bonnies both new and old.

Oh....they also showed the hideous beast this thread is about
